Love Your Feet Treatment

Especially during the winter, your feet need some love. They may be extra dry from the cold and hiding under socks. Try this treatment.
Recipe:
1 egg
2 TBS oat flour
2 TBS garbanzo bean flour
1 TBS coconut oil
1/4 cup rice bran oil
Mix together in food processor to create a cream. Rub onto feet and leave on for 20 minutes. This is also great to soften elbows, knees, and hands.
Enjoy,

Bok Choy

Adding bok choy to my diet has been one of my happiest findings. Thankful for my Facebook Salicylate group for sharing that it is one of my safe foods. It is my substitute for turnip greens with the chopped turnips in them. I can still eat fried catfish, but for weight loss I am teaming it with baked salmon and fresh sliced tomatoes (I can eat certain varieties of tomatoes fresh and not cooked).

Chili

I really enjoyed this recipe. To reduce salicylate level, I will try substituting the sweet potatoes next time with white potatoes.  There is a study that indicates there are benefits for some to using peppers for salicylate intolerance (glad they work for me).

Chili Powder Seasoning Mix:
1/8 cup rice flour
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp Lawry's seasoning salt
1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
1/4 tsp thyme
Pour into crock pot.

Meat/Protein
2 cups cooked pinto beans
1/2 lb cooked ground turkey
(Bell peppers and onions about 1/4 cup together, chopped and cooked with the meat or add in)
Pour into crock pot.

Almost Tomato Sauce/Base:
1 large baked sweet potato (or substitute 2 baked white potato for lower salicylate)
4 oz cooked beets
1 cup cooked butternut squash
Blend together in food processor. Pour into crock pot.

Other Ingredients:
12 oz chicken broth
2 cups water
Pour into crock pot.

Stir all together and cook on high for about 2-3 hours for the flavors to blend.
Top with cheese and sour cream with chives!
